USBC Distributes All 1,600 Balls Donated By Columbia 300
May 02, 2007
HOPKINSVILLE, KY - In a matter of weeks, USBC has distributed all 1,600 bowling balls donated by Columbia 300 to high school and middle school programs in need of equipment.
“Our phones were ringing off the hook with interest and the balls went out very quickly,” said Jeanne Klescewski, USBC Director of High School and Collegiate. “The balls provided by Columbia 300 will be a huge benefit to these programs, especially in urban areas, because more kids will be able to be involved and own their own equipment as opposed to house balls. And, through the use of quality equipment, their game will improve, thus creating a lifelong interest in bowling. We appreciate the support that Columbia 300 has offered to USBC.”
USBC reports the 1,600 balls were distributed throughout the country to programs of all sizes and were available on a first come, first serve basis.
