PATRICK ALLEN WINS AGAIN WITH EBONITE

Feb 22, 2007

HOPKINSVILLE, KY - For the second time during the Winter Tour, Patrick Allen has found himself in the winner’s circle with Ebonite. Defeating Parker Bohn, 218-169, Allen added his ninth career title to his resume, the 2007 Go RVing Classic.

“I had a great week and I was feeling good going into the finals,” said Allen, a former PBA Player of the Year. “There’s nothing like the feeling of winning and I know I’m here because I made a very important equipment change mid-season. My thanks go out to Ebonite for all their support.”

Allen, who began bowling with Ebonite at the beginning of this season’s second swing, entered the finals as the top seed and clinched his win over Bohn, a PBA Hall of Famer, with a strike in the ninth frame. A lefty who hails from Wesley Chapel, Fla., Allen took home $25,000 with this win being his fourth in the last five events on the Chameleon oil pattern and fifth overall in his career. In January, fresh off the two-week holiday break, he won the H&R Block Classic with Ebonite’s Angular One.

Fellow Ebonite staff player, Jason Couch, placed third and Mike Edwards placed fifth on Sunday. For more information, check out the Staff section of www.ebonite.com.
