Ebonite Regional Staffer Bowls 898 with Smash Time Pearl
Mar 13, 2007
HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Using the Ebonite Smash Time Pearl, Ebonite Regional staff member Eddie Williams posted a record series of 898 on Feb. 28 at Lilac Lanes in Spokane, Wash. With 35 consecutive strikes, Williams was a force to be reckoned with during the Coca-Cola Classic league night.
“The Smash Time Pearl’s stellar performance, paired with Eddie’s talent for the game, proved to be an unstoppable that night,” said Ed Gallagher, Ebonite brand manager.
Williams is no stranger to the lanes. This former PBA player boasts 30 stops on the tour, a regional title in 2000, a 239 average and a previous high series of 856. Williams became an Ebonite Regional staff member in 1999 and has used Ebonite balls exclusively for the past eight years. However, it was the Smash Time Pearl that garnered his highest series to date.
Williams moved to Spokane in Feb. 2006 and became the general manager of Lilac Lanes and joined the Coca-Cola League in Oct. 2006. As for the future, playing on tour again has crossed Williams mind. For now, however, he is enjoying the success he has found in Spokane and with bowling. Williams also says that his friend, Shari Cawley, bowled a perfect 300 game with Ebonite’s SR300 in January.
“Shari and her husband are the reason I am in Spokane. I cannot thank them enough.”
