EBONITE HELPS WEBBER INTERNATIONAL BOWLERS TO A WIN

In what is the final major collegiate bowling tournament before the sectional qualifiers begin, Webber International University showed the college bowling world that they are a force to be reckoned with this season.

The Hoosier Classic, held in Indianapolis, Ind., is typically used as a measuring stick to see where everyone stands before sectionals get underway. The WIU Warriors caught everyone’s attention as the men finished first and the ladies second in their respective divisions.

“Throughout the event, we used the Ebonite Magic Action, Mission and Smash primarily,” said Joe Slowinski, WIU Coach. The versatility of this equipment allowed us to be successful on the demanding 37’, 41’ and 45’ patterns bowled on at the Hoosier Classic. The Mission was diverse enough to use on each of these three patterns.”

Aside from the team accomplishments, a couple of WIU men also made the All Tournament Team (top 5 individual averages in the tournament) with Andro Simounet leading the field with an impressive 229.3 average.

“The Mission is the best ball in my arsenal!” exclaimed Simounet.

Javier Diaz, winner of the Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic Sweeper held the day before the team event began was also enthusiastic about the Mission.
