EBONITE CONTINUES SUCCESS WITH NEW PERSEVERE

Ebonite continues to highlight bowlers and their success with the new Persevere, named as a tribute to the Ebonite brand, which has persevered through years of bowling.

“The name Persevere has strong meaning for the Ebonite brand,” explained Brand Manager Ed Gallagher. “We have been a major brand in the bowling industry for 107 years. In that time, we’ve been at the forefront of industry advancements, from rubber to urethane to reactive coverstocks. We’ve Persevered through a great deal of history, and we are keenly aware of that.”

Persevere is constructed of a Hybrid version of Ebonite’s Traxion ReactiveTM .039 cover, in a great looking orange, teal and black, and a finish of 500, 1000, 2000 and 2000 grit Abralon® gives easy length. The V5 core inside means that length is accompanied by the great carry associated with the ‘V’ series cores.

The V5 core inside makes Persevere a ball destined to be the new favorite in Tommy Jones’ bag.

“This ball, combined with the recent release of the Ebonite Challenge, is going to fill gaps in my arsenal and help me in tournaments all over the world,” said Jones. “The Persevere especially can go either way – I can shine it up when the lanes hook a lot, or put a 1000 grit finish on it when they are tight. I love that versatility. It reminds me of the Game Breaker a little bit because of how much I can use it. I’m definitely looking forward to the upcoming season with my new pieces.”

Jones’ new equipment served him well at the recent Vienna Open, where he won the Doubles event with partner Stuart Williams, and placed third in Singles.

The Ebonite Persevere will be available at pro shops and online worldwide on November 20, 2012.
