Ebonite Brand Manager Earns Top Spot At USBC Open Championship With 2,141 Total

Mar 03, 2008

HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Ed Gallagher, lifelong bowler and Ebonite brand manager, demonstrated his bowling prowess this weekend at the USBC Open Championships, posting a 2,141 and capturing the Regular All-Events lead. Gallagher took the lead from friend and Ebonite International DSM John Gaines who threw a combined 2,092.

A right-hander who lives in Clarksville, Tennessee and is based at Ebonite International’s headquarters in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Gallagher said he fine-tuned his game based on the conditions using a combination of three Ebonite Gamebreaker balls.

“The Gamebreaker was my ball of choice as it enabled me to blend the lane. I had them drilled differently and the final surfaces where altered to provide me with options, depending on what I was experiencing on the lanes throughout the competition,” Gallagher shared.

Gallagher, who has competed in the Championships for 13 years, bowled a 771 series in team, 701 in singles and 669 in doubles – the highest combined total of more than 63,000 other bowlers. His team consisted of an equally talented group:
•Mitch Sacks using the Complete NV
•Ray Edwards using the Gamebreaker
•Brian Komornik using the Complete NV
•Chris Jones using the Complete NV
