BOWLER BREAKS USBC RECORD WITH EBONITE’S THE ONE BALL

HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Ebonite’s The One ball was recently called just that when Pennsylvania bowler, Jack Kurent, broke the USBC record for the most number of 800 series’ in a league season with his 18th 800 series. Kurent bowled an 801 on the last night of his league in the championship match at Chacko’s Family Bowling Center, Wilkes-Barre, Penn.
“These types of scores are exactly what The One was designed to,” said Ed Gallagher, Ebonite brand manager. “Jack obviously used the ball’s performance characteristics to dominate in his league and we’re proud to have him listed in our Ebonite Honor Roll for high scores and record-breaking wins.”
Kurent has been bowling for over 28 years and has used Ebonite balls almost his entire career. A native of Luverne, Penn., he has approximately 75 300-games to his credit, 14 of those games bowled during his last league season, as well as three state titles. Kurent also won the 2000 Brunswick World Team Challenge.
