Post Instructions on resurfacing ebonite balls
Hi,

i have done some research and found different informations on how to resurface a bowling ball.

First of all im using a ball spinner and Abralon pads.

Most people say that a bowling ball needs to be sanded on 6 sides. Storm tells us only sand 4 sides.
Same is 4 polish. Some say polish 6 sides, some say 4, some say 2 only.

Are there any recommendations from Ebonite?

Regards,
Andy

Supplies Needed for Resurfacing

Bowling ball spinner
Abralon Pads - 180, 360, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000
Water (use a spray bottle if spinner does not have water supply)

PowerHouse Power Wash or PowerHouse Ball cleaner

Here are 2 good videos from Innovative Bowling by John Jamesnon on how to resurface a ball.

You could resurface it to any surface you want.

I don't begrudge a pro shop operator for charging for his time and knowledge to do the task. In my opinion, they don't make nearly enough money for doing what they do in the first place. But I'm also a big fan of self-sufficiency.
