Post Ebonite re-releases the Gamebreaker
The ball that redefined what bowlers of all skill levels wanted in a mid-performance ball is here again. Gamebreaker returns to action with its popular V2 core and “The One” veneer combination. The Gamebreaker will be available for a limited time only and will NOT be returning to the playing field next year, due to a change in RG specifications passed by the USBC. Break it wide open again, or for the first time, with a Gamebreaker....before it’s GAME OVER.

Very Happy Glad I got one, it performed great at the last regional I bowled in (Scorpion). If my spare ball performed better I would have made the cut Wink

This has me wondering..

What were the changes to the RG specifications that the USBC made? And while it is being re-released now, would that make this ball illegal to use after the new specs go into effect?

The new changes that the USBC made for core specs are that Gamebreaker V2 core has an RG of 2.45 and differential of .051. The new USBC rules disallow sales of balls with an RG that low very soon. Of course, you will continue to be allowed to use any ball that was once approved. It’s just that manufacturers will no longer be able to make them that low. So it’s a very early revving core with a higher differential. That makes this will roll earlier and continue rolling.

And yes after June 1st 2011 it is ikllegal to sell the gamebreaker. It is not illegal to use if you had one before the new ruling took effect. It is just illegal to sell any more new Gamerbreakers.
